DESIGNED IN THE BLACK FOREST – BORN FOR THE DESERT PRIMUS Desert Pilot The models in the Primus collection are a contemporary interpretation of the legendary chronographs from Hanhart. In 2012, the Swiss-German watch brand launched the Primus Desert Pilot pilot chronograph in a trendy outdoor look with a blasted case, sand-colored dial and textile strap. FOR THE MODERN ADVENTURER PERFECT OUTDOOR LOOK Inspired by the longing for freedom and adventure, Hanhart now presents the Primus Desert Pilot, whose cool outdoor look emphasizes the wearer's independence. Its solid stainless steel case with flexible lugs has a matt blasted finish, giving it a technical and sporty look. Another new feature is the sand-colored dial, which sets off the large Arabic 12, the clearly legible indices and the striking hands - all with a black Super-LumiNova® coating - in a high-contrast setting. It is covered by a convex sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside, while a screw-down sapphire crystal case back allows a clear view of the fascinating play of the movement and the oscillating weight. The Primus Desert Pilot is completed by a coarsely woven, sand-colored textile strap and a practical, easy-to-adjust folding clasp made of blasted stainless steel with an inset red marking. SIMPLY RELIABLE HIGHEST FUNCTIONALITY For safe and simple use in measuring time intervals or for navigating in the air and on water, but also for stopping intermediate and end times or distances on land, maximum functionality, ease of use and excellent readability were the top priorities. Unnecessary gimmicks or design elements on the case and dial were undesirable. Hanhart continues to be guided by this maxim. For precise time display and measurement, the models in the Primus collection are equipped with an automatic caliber modified to display the totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock, which has an oscillating weight skeletonized to the Hanhart logo. This allows the small seconds at 9 o'clock and the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock to be clearly arranged - a display that has been common at Hanhart from the very beginning. The clear, generous design of the dial and the hands coated with Super-LumiNova® also contribute to perfect readability. A LEGEND BECOMES A TRADEMARK THE RED PUSHER The red reset button on the side is a striking feature of the PRIMUS collection. Legend has it that when a young pilot put on his Hanhart one morning, he discovered that his wife had painted one of the pushers with red nail polish so that he would always think of her and return unharmed. This striking red pusher became Hanhart's trademark from 1939 onwards. It prevented the pilots from unintentionally resetting the stopped time during the flight and thus leaving the correct course. PERFECT FOR EVERY ADVENTURE THE PRIMUS COLLECTION In memory of Hanhart's eventful history, the young PRIMUS collection confidently presents itself with progressive design and state-of-the-art technology. The hint of historical elements is reflected in this line in the red comfort pusher made of anodized aluminium and in a striking fluted bezel. The innovative chronographs impress with their size, grip and ease of use and, thanks to the solid, high-quality stainless steel case, meet all the requirements of a reliable, robust and attractive watch. A strap made from the finest calfskin, canvas with a leather inside or vulcanized rubber ensures optimum comfort on the wrist. A screw-down sapphire crystal case back reveals the fascinating play of the movement and the oscillating weight. It is an ETA7750 or Sellita SW 500 basic movement with a modification for the typical Hanhart dial design with totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock.
