ONE FOR ALL PIONEER MonoScope Like its legendary predecessors from Hanhart, the PIONEER MonoScope has a single pusher to control all chronograph functions. With the widely spaced displays for the small seconds and the 30-minute counter, the new model in the PIONEER collection also incorporates another eye-catching feature of the Swiss-German watch brand's early precision timepieces. EXCEPTIONAL DESIGN SINGLE-PUSH-BUTTON MODEL The technical implementation with a single pusher is also the characteristic feature of the PIONEER MonoScope. The automatic movement ticking in its generously proportioned 45-millimeter stainless steel case has been slightly redesigned for this purpose. The lever, which is located directly below the pusher that is normally positioned at 4 o'clock, has no function. The third stroke on the chronograph cam is thus performed by the large gearshift. To do this, this cam is modified so that an additional prong runs along its lowest level. This allows the shift lever to control not two, but three positions. MODEL FROM THE 30S STRIKINGDIAL However, this is not the only special feature of the new model in the PIONEER collection. A further modification to the caliber allows the two displays for the small seconds and the 30-minute counter typical of Hanhart chronographs to be positioned on the periphery of the dial. Their aesthetics thus perfectly match those of their predecessors from the 1930s, which owed this arrangement to the early 15.5-line manufacture caliber from Hanhart. On the PIONEER MonoScope, the centers of the two displays together with the numbers 2 and 4 or 8 and 10 form a straight, vertical axis, resulting in a balanced symmetry. A LEGEND BECOMES A TRADEMARK THE RED PUSHER The red reset button on the side is a striking feature of the PIONEER collection. Legend has it that when a young pilot put on his Hanhart one morning, he discovered that his wife had painted one of the pushers with red nail polish so that he would always think of her and return unharmed. This striking red pusher became Hanhart's trademark from 1939 onwards. It prevented the pilots from unintentionally resetting the stopped time during the flight and thus leaving the correct course. WATERPROOF UP TO 10 BAR ROBUST HOUSING Like its predecessors, it has a closed, screwed case back with three recesses for the case key to ensure maximum water resistance and robustness. QUALITY LEATHER OR STAINLESS STEEL COMFORTABLE TO WEAR With its riveted strap made of sturdy, durable calfskin, the PIONEER MonoScope is comfortable to wear from day one. A high-quality pin buckle ensures that the watch is held securely in place. For further design options, we also offer waistband bracelets in dark brown and light brown.
